The SEC still means plenty, but I remember when conferences were built on geography and rivalry, not television contracts. We had real Pac-8 and Pac-10 battles that mattered. Seeing Indiana rise up is no different than when we shocked everybody in '97. Let them have their moment. Every dog has its day, even if the foundation of the sport we loved is crumbling.
