Wait so the Protect College Sports Act passes a Senate committee and the Big Ten and SEC are both fighting it? Let me tell you something about the last time Washington tried to tell us how to run football. Back in 1985 we had Coach Bryant's ghost still hanging over the program and the NCAA tried to put us on probation for a booster buying a kid a car. We survived that nonsense and we will survive this too. The problem is these politicians do not understand what made this conference great in the first place. You cannot legislate loyalty into a kid who is getting offered 500 grand to jump to Oregon for a year. We used to build offensive lines that stayed together for three and four years. Now we are patching together a unit through the portal every single spring and the government thinks a bill is going to fix that. The SEC was fine before Washington got involved and we will be fine after they mess it all up.
