Kaiden Prothro is gonna be a problem for the entire SEC for the next three years and I don't. You watch his film and you see a 6'5" tight end who moves like a slot receiver and blocks like a sixth offensive lineman. That is not a skill set you find every day. That is a skill set Kirby and the staff specifically targeted to replace what we lost to the draft. And here is the thing about our tight end room. We have always been at our best when that position is a matchup nightmare. We are not a spread team that throws it 50 times. We are a team that puts a guy like Prothro in the seam and makes linebackers try to cover him for four quarters. Good luck with that. What stands out to me about this recruit is the timing. We lost some key pieces to the NFL and the portal like every other program in the country. That is just the reality of college football now. But while other teams are panicking and taking flyers on portal guys who might not buy in. That is how you sustain sucess. That is why we have been in the conversation every single year since 2021. You reload with high school kids who want to be developed, not rentals who are looking for a bigger NIL deal. Prothro is the exact kind of foundational piece that keeps the machine running. I also love that he is a Georgia kid who grew up wanting to be here. In the NIL era where everybody is chasing the bag and committing three times before they actually sign. He could have gone anywhere. He had every school in the country recruiting him. He chose to be a Bulldog because he knows the track record. We put tight ends in the NFL. We win championships. We have the best fan base in college football. That is not a hard sell when you have the resume we have built. People want to look at ESPN's offseason rankings and say we are slipping. They see other programs making noise in the portal and they think the gap is closing. But the gap is not closing when you are still pulling five-star talent out of state...
