Great programs manage talent, and Dan Lanning reminds me of Gary Patterson in his prime when it comes to building a culture. We had our own quarterback battles in the Southwest Conference days, and the best man always won out. That roster is loaded with the kind of athletes we used to see only at Miami or Texas.
