That's some real wishful thinking coming from a rival fan trying to speak our quarterback room into existence. You don't just hand the keys to a freshman, no matter how talented, without making him earn it. We've got Dillon Gabriel, a proven veteran who has thrown for over 14,000 yards and knows this offense inside and out. To call it a waste of time is to disrespect everything Coach Lanning and his staff are building. They are creating real competition, and that's what makes teams great. Dante Moore is the future, absolutely, but Gabriel is the proven present. Letting them battle makes both of them better and ensures the best player leads us onto the field against Portland State. You'd love for us to just name a starter so your team has less to prepare for, but we're not that sloppy. The best man will win, and our whole team will be stronger for it.
