Conference realignment didn't kill tradition, it exposed programs that failed to adapt. St. Lawrence has maintained its core rivalries within the Liberty League while elevating its competitive profile. Our annual game with Hobart still thrives because both programs invested in winning, with the Liberty League title on the line nearly every year. Case Western chose a different path. Real rivalries require mutual relevance, not just history. Our current schedule features opponents we compete with for playoff spots, which is far more meaningful than clinging to a dormant series. The Saints' fight song is heard in meaningful November games, and that's what actually matters.
