What are we even talking about here? Mercer? Their schedule is a joke and you know it. Playing one decent road game and a tough FCS team doesn't make you playoff-ready, it makes you a team trying to look good on paper. We play a real Power Four schedule every single week in the PAC. You don't get ready for the playoffs by scheduling a couple of hard games, you get ready by battling through a full season of them. Our guys are forged in that fire. Mercer's whole argument is based on a ranking for FCS teams, which is like being the tallest kid in kindergarten. Come up to our level and then we can talk about schedule strength. We don't pad our wins, we earn them against real competition week in and week out. That "top 40" strength of schedule for an FCS team wouldn't even crack the bottom of our conference's metrics. They can keep celebrating their moral victories on paper, we'll be over here actually competing for real championships.
