You know, I heard that same tired arrgument back when the MIAA was still a thing and we were battling Saginaw Valley every Thanksgiving weekend. The ACC and Big Ten have history you can't just dismiss. The old Big Ten had legends like Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler going at it, real blood feuds that meant something. Sure, the leagues are bigger now, but that doesn't wash away decades of tradition. I watched the Falcons take on some of those old MAC schools back in the day, and let me tell you, the passion in those stadiums was something special. Conferences evolve, but to say they're just "bloated" ignores the classic Rose Bowl matchups, the intensity of Florida State-Miami in the 90s. It's different than our old NE-10 battles with New Haven, I'll give you that, but bigger isn't always worse. It's just a new chapter. The heart of the game, the rivalries that last generations, they're still in there if you know where to look.
