Jim Phillips can push his 24-team playoff all he wants and call it hope for the ACC but we both know what that really means. It means the SEC gets more teams in and our path to the title just gets easier. We have been the standard for two decades and no amount of expansion changes that math. We reload while these other conferencs rebuild. Sarkisian and Kiffin going at each other about academics and diversity is hilarious to watch from where we sit. They can fight over who has the better recruiting pitch all they want but neither of them has what we have in the trenches. We don't need manufactured drama when our spring workouts are producing the kind of depth that wins championships in November. The SEC West runs through Jordan-Hare and that is not changing no matter how many 24-team brackets they draw up. Mark my words right now. When the playoff expands to 24 teams the SEC will put five or six programs in the field every single. The ACC needs hope because they cannot compete. We need more spots so we can prove it again. That is the difference between a conference that dominates and one that needs a participation trophy system to stay relevant.
