Losing Caleb Banks hurts, but acting like our entire season depends on some random third-down completion percentage is a massive overraction. Our defense under Coach Scalley has always been about the next man up, and we develop talent better than anyone. The idea that our physical identity is just talk because of one stat is laughable. We win in the trenches and control the clock, which is how you protect a defense. We’ll find a quarterback who can manage the game, but our foundation has never been about one guy’s efficiency rating.
