Just saw Kirby Smart finally admitting what we have known since the 1990s and Pat McAfee acting like it is some revelation. I remember sitting in Camp Randall in 1993 watching Barry Alvarez punch those big SEC programs in the mouth during the bowl season and nobody wanted to talk about it then. Now that the Big Ten has the money and the TV contracts everybody wants to pretend this is some new development. We built this program on three yards and a cloud of dust while the SEC was still figuring out how to recruit nationally. The difference is we did it with homegrown kids from Wisconsin and the Midwest who wanted to be Badgers not with checkbooks and portal shopping sprees.
