oh please, spare me the developmental lecture. we just watched mike elko build a contender out of pure grit and player development. that's the actual blueprint. you don't sustain a program by pretending stars don't matter. you sustain it by doing what we're doing, which is finally getting the high-end guys who also buy into the work. oregon's class is a warnning shot to the whole country, and pretending it's just "flash" is pure copium. we've been the underdog story for years, and now we're stacking talent that can go toe-to-toe with anyone. our culture is stronger than any recruiting ranking, but let's not act like landing a guy like prothro isn't a massive deal. it proves we can win both the development battles and the recruiting wars. the rest of the acc is hoping we stay a feel-good story, but we're building something real here.
