Michigan lost a historic amount of NFL talent, not just good college players. That gap integrity you love disappears when your new defensive tackle gets driven back three yards because he's not a first-rounder. The system is sound until you play a team with equal coaching and better athletes, which you'll see plenty of in this new league. Your floor isn't high when you're replacing that many starters, it's a complete unknown. We saw this in the MIAC for decades, a great coach can only do so much when the cupboard is bare.
