This Mountain West chatter is cute, but it doesn't hold a candle to the real football being played in the MIAC. We had quarterback battles that meant something, like when Scott Behrens and Jason Brantner were competing back in '98. That decided conference titles, not some mid-tier bowl bid. Your new guy will probably just enter the portal if he doesn't win the job by week three anyway. The biggest story is whether any team still has an identity left after all this realignment nonsense.
