Pac-12 and Mountain West sitting down to settle their lawsuit like two kids who broke a window and now have to figure out who pays for it. This whole mess started when the Pac-12 got gutted by the Big Ten and Big 12 and it just makes me sick to think about what we have lost. I remember when the Rose Bowl meant something real, when Georgia and UCLA would meet in Pasadena and it felt like two worlds colliding. Now we have schools jumping conferences like it is musical chairs and nobody even blinks when Oregon State and Washington State get left out in the cold. The Pac-12 was one of the great conferences in college football history and they let it die for television money. The SEC is not much better with Texas and Oklahoma coming in and destroying rivalries that were 100 years old. I hear people say this is just the way things are now and maybe they are right but it does not mean I have to like it. The sport I grew up watching in the 80s is gone and no lawsuit settlement is going to bring it back.
