I see Oklahoma State went and brought in 50 transfers under their new coach and Colorado loaded up with 43 of them and I just think back to the days when you built a program the old fashioned way. Remember when we would scrimmage Georgia Southern in fall camp under Erk Russell in the 1980s and those Eagles would come in and hit us in the mouth and both teams got tougher from it. Now these programs think you can just plug in a bunch of mercenaries from the portal and call it a rebuild. NIL killed any sense of loyalty and the portal turned college football into free agency. You cannot tell me a roster with 50 new faces has any chemistry or knows what it means to bleed for the same program. We built championships on culture and development not shopping sprees.
