Wait so Florida finished 2025 ranked 118th in turnover margin at -8 and people still want to argue the schedule is the problem for the new head coach? The Gators play 8 home games in 2026 including the renovated Swamp and people act like facing Texas A&M and LSU at home is some impossible gauntlet. Florida's 2025 strength of schedule ranked 12th nationally per SP+ but the Gators went 5-7 because they gave the ball away 28 times. That is not a schedule problem that is a ball security crisis. The new staff gets Tennessee at home Georgia in Jacksonville and Florida State in the Swamp. The numbers say Florida faced the 4th toughest schedule in the SEC last year and still had chances in 4 of those 7 losses that were decided by one score. The real story is Florida ranked 87th in passing efficiency and 118th in turnover margin. Fix those two numbers and the schedule narrative disappears. The SEC schedule is brutal for everybody. Florida just needs to stop beating themselves.
