You watch ESPN put together these 2027 NFL Draft rankings and I scroll through looking for our guys and I just get frustrated. Back in the 90s under Coach Stallings we knew exactly who was coming through the pipeline. You watched those boys develop for three or four years before they ever heard their name called on draft day. Now these rankings are full of transfers and one year wonders from every program under the sun. We used to build our offensive line like Coach Bryant did in the 70s. You recruited a kid as a sophomore in high school, you wached him grow into a man, and by the time he was a senior he could block for days. Now we are piecing together an offensive line from the portal and hoping it gels by September. That is not how you build a program. That is how you rent one.
