Man, I gotta push back on this take, even if it's about a team we don't play. Calling for a coach's head before a single snap is wild. The portal is the reality of the game now, and if your roster has holes, you gotta fill them. We saw it firsthand last year when we needed to patch some spots. It's not about not developing your own guys, sometimes you just need immediate bodies who have played college ball. Saying the locker room will be toxic is a huge asumption. A good coach can blend portal guys and high school recruits if he manages it right. It's on Morris to build that culture quickly, and yeah, that's a tall task. Let the man coach a game first. Sometimes you gotta take big swings to compete, and in the Big 12, standing still means falling behind. I'm not saying it'll work for sure, but writing it off in May is premature. We believe in building through development too, but you can't ignore the tools available.
