Remember when Amon G. Carter Stadium was still that old horseshoe with the track around it? I sat in those metal bleachers in the 80s when the wind would cut right through you and the only thing hot was the coffee from the concession stand. You could hear every single play called because the place was so empty half the time. Now we got this beautiful renovated castle with the brick facade and the video boards and I appreciate it, I really do. But I miss that old rickety press box and the way the echo would bounce off the east side when we actually had a crowd. You could feel the history in those concrete steps. The new place is nice but it don't have the same soul.
