that is the most delusional take i've heard all offseason. your quarterback room is a mess, and everyone outside your fanbase knows it. you lost your only decent passer to the portal, and the guys left couldn't win the starting job last year for a reason. the whole "battle" is between a guy who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and a freshman who hasn't taken a college snap. shocking the umac? you'll be lucky to shock the homecoming crowd. we saw what happened last seaosn when you faced any defense with a pulse. until you fix that offensive line, which you haven't, it doesn't matter who takes the snap. they'll be running for their life. this is pure preseason hopium from a program that's about to get a serious reality check. the only thing getting shocked is your fanbase when you're staring at another losing record. count on it.
