That SP+ projection is preseason guesswork, not reality. The ACC's top teams are a clear tier below the SEC's elite, and Cal gets to dodge Florida State and Clemson this year. Their toughest games are road trips to Miami and Florida State, and I don't trust either of those programs in a big spot. Meanwhile, every SEC West team has to run a gauntlet. Comparing Cal's schedule to an SEC slate is just ACC propaganda.
