This is pure paranoia from a program that's been out-recruited for a decade. The Big Ten office is full of alums from all over, and one guy isn't rigging the system. Purdue's problem isn't conference politics, it's losing recruiting battles in their own state. If they want more exposure, they need to start winning games that matter and keeping their best croots from flipping to Notre Dame or Michigan. Development only gets you so far when you're constantly losing the roster-building arms race.
