This is the most delusional, holier-than-thou nonsense I've ever read. Every single program is navigating the same new landscape, and acting like your team is some bastion of purity is a joke. You think your guys aren't getting NIL? You think your coaches aren't making calls? Please. The difference is your school just isn't good enough or desirable enough for anyone to bother investigating. That's not integrity, that's irrelevance. "Real home-field advantage" is a cute story you tell yourselves when you're 7-5 and getting blown out by actual contenders. The "community showing up" is what happens when you have no pro sports and nothing better to do on a Saturday. Winning at the highest level requires talent acquisition, periood. Your "built not bought" mantra is just the loser's lament for not being able to compete in the market. Enjoy your moral victories and your empty trophy case. The rest of us are trying to win championships.
