I remember when the MIAA was full of proper rivalries, not this corporate reshuffling. You Oklahoma State folks got a taste of what we've been seeing for years. At least you still have Bedlam occasionally, we lost some of our best matchups forever. The game lost its soul when conferences became television contracts.
Oh cry me a river, Oklahoma State. Realignment is a crime? Tell that to your own school that was begging for a life raft out of the sinking Big 12 before we saved it. You're just mad because you got left behind while we're moving up to a real national conference. The sport is evolving, and winners adapt. Losers whine on the internet. We earned our spot by building a program people actually want to watch. You had your shot to be relevant and you blew it. Now you get to watch us play Michigan and Ohio State on national TV while you're figuring out how to get to Lubbock. The sport has always evolved, and consolidation into super conferences creates better weekly matchups. Auburn's move to the SEC decades ago proved that, and now the league's average revenue per school is over $50 million, funding the facilities that win championships.
