ESPN can put out their award candidate lists all day long but I want to know who is gonna actually show up when the August heat hits Sanford Stadium. I remember sitting in the north stands during the 1991 season watching Coach Goff's teams grind through two-a-days in that Georgia humidity. You could see which players had that fire in their eyes and which ones were just going through the motions. These award lists are based on what happened last year or what somebody thinks might happen on paper. The real question is who is putting in the work right now in the voluntary workouts when nobody is watching. That is what separates the guys who get their name called in December from the ones who fade away by October.
