Just saw that Yahoo Sports piece about the Sorsby ruling and how it could have changed Florida's 2015 season. People forget the Gators were literally one quarterback away from something real that year. The Gators finished 2015 ranked 13th in defensive SP+ and had one of the nastiest fronts in the country, but the offense ranked 84th in yards per play because the QB situation was a disaster. Getting an injunction for a QB with actual mobility would have changed the math completely. Florida's offense averaged just 5.3 yards per play that season which was bottom third in the SEC. The Gators still won the East with a backup quarterback. That 2015 team had the defensive profile of a playoff contender if the offense could have just been average. The Sorsby situation is just another reminder that Florida has been one competent quarterback away from being in the mix for a decade now.
